Our Mighty Standard

Standing alone as softly the breeze blew,
Majestic colors red, white and blue;
A banner of pride waving over our home,
A proud declaration of a land so well known;
No other sight so beautiful to behold,
A proclamation of freedom so young and so old;

The bravery and courage of many years past,
Bound together in a symbol found here on this mast.
The flag of our country that all here respect,
Brave men have died to keep it erect.
Flying over our states, our schools and our homes,
This beautiful image that is by the wind blown,

Showing the world that we are all united,
Announcing to all that we will not be slighted.
None can deny the patriotic message we send,
We are flying our flag and our country will mend.
Around our standard we have all assembled,
And watch as freedoms enemies trembled.
